ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?!!!!

"CBC falls to Blue Springs South 41-7 at the Edward Jones Dome. CBC finishes the season 11-2 with it's first ever trip to the State Championship game. Congratulations to all the players, coaches and everyone else who made this story book season a possibility."
- CBC Football Website

Though terms such as "fairy tale" and "story book" have been used to describe the football season we witnessed last year, I hesitate to use those terms because they don't give proper credit to our coaches and Cadets for all the hard work that went into creating the REALITY that was CBC's 2006 Championship Season! At the risk of being redundant, Thank You CBC Cadets and Coaches!!!

AUGUST IS FINALLY HERE!!! Practices have started [1, 2, 3-a-days], and the Gatorade has once again begun to flow. Last year we learned that the investments made in the months leading up to August can pay huge returns throughout the season. Knowing that our Cadets and coaches are once again hard at work has lovers of Cadet Football all across the metropolitan area and on both sides of the rivers eagerly awaiting the start-up of another CBC football season.

A core group of Senior Cadet Moms [see sidebar] have begun coordinating the activities which support and celebrate the Varsity Cadet Football Team. In an attempt to keep all interested parties abreast of upcoming events, this blog has been created. It will be updated at least once a week and more often if necessary with information regarding the activities planned to support and celebrate the Varsity Football Team. Please take the time to explore the site while you are here to familiarize yourself with the information that can be found here.

Our goal is to continue the established traditions which support our Cadets such as the Thursday Night Dinners, Friday Pre-Game Meals, and the provision of Gatorade following all games. We are also dedicated to returning to traditions like the production of the Media Guide that celebrate our Cadets and coaches. Additionally, we hope to create new traditions to capitalize on our Cadet Spirit and provide opportunities for socializing with our Cadets, our coaches, and our families. One such example is the CBC Fifth Quarter Socials which are tentatively planned to follow all home games. More information about these events will be posted shortly.

Please feel free to reach out to any of the individuals listed on the Cadet Spirit Planning Committee found in the right margin if you would like to get involved or offer suggestions. Also, don't forget to click the Cadet Spirit Hotspots links to check out the establishments that will be providing our Cadets with Thursday Pre-Game meals at reduced pricing this season. Additionally, you can offer comments, make suggestions, or ask questions via the comments function on this blog. Clicking on the comment link at the bottom of a post will allow you to leave a message which will be published immediately and viewable by all who view this site.

I FOR ONE AM READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL AND I BET YOU ARE TOO! And now you know where to go to get all the lastest information about supporting and celebrating your CBC Varsity Football Cadets. Welcome and please come back often.

LET'S GO CADETS!
