URGENT!!! RE: TICKETS FOR CBC VS. SLU

CBC football fans:

It is imperative that ALL those planning to attend the CBC vs. SLU game (which is an away game this year) purchase their tickets as soon as possible AT CBC. The system is set up such that the proceeds of the ticket sales are assigned to the school which actually sold the ticket. As this is typically the sell-out game of the season, let's ALL support CBC by purchasing our tickets at home in advance in order to ensure that the significant amount of revenue generated will benefit our school.

Tickets for the game (10/12/07) are on sale NOW at CBC and typically sell-out fast, so make sure your son gets yours as soon as possible if you plan to attend. The ticket price is $5.00, and you can contact CBC at 314/985-6100 to find out the best method by which to purchase yours!!!!

LET'S PLAN AHEAD, AND MAKE SLU PAY IN MORE THAN ONE WAY FOR OUR VISIT TO THEIR LOVELY CAMPUS!!!!!

IN A WORD,

YEA!
I had a feeling the boys were back....and not a moment too soon! It's late, we'll talk more later; but before I go, to sum it all up in a word,
YEA!!!!!

May The Force Be With You!

There has been some buzz around the CBC campus this fall about something being missing from football this season. For several weeks, as hard as we all have tried, we just could not seem to put a finger on exactly what that "something" was. Then, as if by some sort of "Divine Intervention" intervening, the missing element was elucidated....

FUN!!!

The Varsity Cadets led by the Senior Class Members of the team have decided to put the FUN back into the game. Since solidarity is key to the success of any team, let's all follow suit and be amazed by what happens.

It feels like the "Boys are back!"
LET'S GO CADETS!

Turn up your speakers and click this link to listen to the CBC Fight Song after you read this post....somehow, that seems appropriate.

CADET FAN-Tastic....Fans of the Week!

TRUE football fans are incapable of allowing the scoreboard to dictate their level of involvement in a football game. True football fans persevere in spite of the time remaining on the clock and its relationship to the likelihood of the game ending up in the win column. True football fans support their teams when they win, AND when they lose.

Truer fans than those pictured above have never been identified. This is a group of Cadets that I have given the moniker, "THE NEVER SAY DIE CREW!" These are football fans who could have very easily been members of the football pep-club to which I belonged back in the day; a club whose sole purpose in life was to uplift their team through all manner of joy and pain. "The Never Say Die Crew" cheered our Varsity Cadets on last Friday when they scored against Chaminade. They cheered the Defense on when Chaminade had possession of the ball. They cheered the O-Line on when CBC gained ball possession. They even continued to cheer with the same if not MORE vigor and enthusiasm, when it was painfully obvious that there was absolutely no way for our Varsity Football Cadets to turn the tide of the game and we could not possibly pull out the victory. "The Never Say Die Crew" makes Mama Jenkins very proud! THIS is what true fan support looks like at the end of a game in which the victory eludes us.....

HERE'S HOPING "THE NEVER SAY DIE CREW" LIVES ON FOREVER!!!

Look Great and Support CBC Football at the same time!

The CBC JV Football Spirit Moms have undertaken an enormous endeavor and would sincerely appreciate help from every CBC Football fan. As many of you are probably aware, each week following the games, the football teams review taped footage which allows them to better assess their strengths as well as weakness. This process enables the teams to pinpoint areas that need improvement, and thereby adjust their training and practices accordingly in order to maximize their efforts. When approached by the JV Football Spirit Moms regarding what they could do to help the teams, the coaching staff shared that a fundraiser to purchase a Portable Endzone Video System would be much appreciated and allow for a vast improvement in the teams' ability to assess themselves.

To that end, a fundraiser has been developed that will help both CBC Fans and Football Teams to look good doing what we do. Sportswear supporting the CBC Football Teams is available for purchase from the JV Spirit Moms during all home games. All merchandise has the CBC Football emblem, and is not team specific thereby making it appropriate viewing attire for Freshman, JV, or Varsity Football! Additionally, anyone wishing to order this merchandise may email Susan Berberich at slberberich@yahoo.com. Checks should be made payable to CBC Football. Currently the following items are available for sale:

T-Shirts - $10.00 Available in S, M, L, XL, XXL
Shorts - $10.00 Available in S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL
Shorts with pockets - $15.00 Available in S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL
Polos (white or purple) - $20.00 Available in S, M, L, XL, XXL
Sweatshirts (hood) - $25.00 Available in S, M, L, XL, XXL

The current video taping process attempts to capture the whole field, focusing initially on the line of scrimmage and then attempting to follow the ball. Consequently, there is an obvious potential to miss much of the action on the field particularly the action in the periphery and endzone. The coaches feel this system will be a very productive tool because it will allow for better assessment of all football positions, making it a tool that will be beneficial to every player. In order to purchase this system to support our teams, a lot of sportswear will need to be sold, so please find a reason to purchase something for yourself and/or as a gift for others!
Thanks in advance for your help!
